On certain vehicles, the nut securing the hydraulic control unit in the steering rack is defective in manufacturing, and therefore it may occur that some of the power steering function is lost, which will make steering heavier.

Correction: 
The manufacturing number on the steering rack should be checked, and if it is between 7Z01001 and 8202071, the steering rack should be replaced with a non-defective one. Note: The far left number of the manufacturing number is the last digit of the year, the second is the month (X stands for October, Y for November, and Z for December), the third and forth are the day, and the fifth, sixth and seventh are the serial number for the day.
