For the electric lifts for wheelchairs on welfare vehicles, ascending and descending operations can lead to metal fatigue in the shaft, which transmits the driving force from the electric motor to the left side of the lift, resulting in cracks due to insufficient strength of the shaft. If this problem is left unattended, the shaft can break causing the lift to tilt towards the left.
