On certain vehicles, the frame bracket securing the steering rack is not at the correct position, and therefore the joint between the steering rack and the intermediate gear is not at the correct position. If left unfixed, the joint may become loose, and in the worst case the serrated sections may wear, making steering impossible.

Correction: 
The position of the frame bracket should be checked, and if it is not correct, it should be adjusted with shim, and the joint between the steering rack and the intermediate gear should be replaced with a new one.
