The front axle does not have sufficient strength, if it is one of some with hairline cracks inside the steel, caused at the time of manufacturing the axle. If the vehicle continues to be driven with the front axle cracked, the axle may crack around the edge bottoms, and in the worst case it could break, which would cause the vehicle to stall.
