On certain vehicles, the bracket securing the fuel filter on the engine is not properly manufactured and may break from localized stress. If the vehicle continues to be driven with the broken bracket, the fuel pipe (the one for returning excess fuel from the injection nozzle) connected to the fuel filter may break and allow fuel to leak, which in the worst case could lead to a fire.

Correction: 
The bracket should be inspected, and if there are any cracks, it should be replaced with a new one. Also, the bracket should be replaced, as soon as the factory approved replacement unit is supplied.
Identification: 
The original bracket has a welded section and is 6mm thick, whereas the factory approved replacement unit is made of die cast and 15mm thick.
