For the differential, the part where the bracket of the propeller shaft centre bearing is secured onto may be installed at a wrong angle or at a wrong position. If this problem is left unattended, the bracket might break from excessive stress caused by eccentric rotation, and this could, in the worst case, cause the vehicle to stall.
Case Number:

Make/model:
Issued:
Tue, 2000-09-12
Component:

Correction:
The bracket should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit in order to achieve the correct position. Also, if the installation angle is not right, the correct angle should be achieved by adjusting with shim.
