For vehicles with diesel engine, the tension guide for the timing chain driving the camshaft can be damaged by resonance of the chain due to insufficient strength, in which case it causes abnormal noise. At worst, a broken piece of the guide could be stuck in the sprocket, and the engine stops and will not restart.
