On certain vehicles, the diffuser for the passenger airbag may come off the inflator from the welded joint when the airbag is activated, because it is not properly welded. If this happens, the diffuser fails to discharge the gas so the airbag will not be deployed, and the passenger could be seriously injured in a frontal collision.
