On certain vehicles, the locking devices in the buckles for the driver and passenger seat belts have not been formed in an appropriate shape. Therefore, there is a risk that the belts will become unbuckled when an extreme load, such as in a collision, is placed, in which case they may fail to restrain the occupants.
