For the connector and the cover at the end of the accelerator cable, the connector shape and the cover material are not proper, and therefore, the cover can degrade over time and reach the inner cable. If this happens, the inner cable may be caught on the connector, and in the worst case, releasing the accelerator pedal will not bring down engine revs.
