For compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, the sealing surfaces of the O-rings installed at the connections of the shut-off valves may be damaged due to the improper method of a gas leak test on the fuel pipes. If left unfixed, the O-rings may lose some sealing efficiency, and in the worst case they could allow fuel to leak.
