On certain vehicles, vibration during travel may cause interference between the wires and the bracket securing the glove box, because there is not sufficient space between them. At worst, this may cause a short circuit and a blown fuse, and result in engine starting failure and/or poor wiper operation.

Protective tape should be applied to the bracket securing the glove box. Also, the wires should be inspected, and the one with damage should be either repaired or replaced with a new one.
