For compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, the O-ring in the high pressure regulator may be deformed or damaged, because the O-ring does not have sufficient hardness and the measurement of the valve sheet is improper. If this happens, the high pressure fuel gas could flow into the low pressure regulator and leak from the safety valve.

The high pressure regulator should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit.
