On certain vehicles, the spherical surface of the ball joints, which connect the lower arm and the knuckle arm of the front wheel shock absorber, may be damaged due to improper assembly. If this problem is left unattended, the ball joints may prematurely wear allowing more play, and in the worst case, they could come off the knuckle arms causing the vehicle to stall.
