The air charge pipe, which supplies compressed air to the brake air tank, does not have sufficient strength, and therefore it may crack from vehicle body vibration etc. If the vehicle continues to be driven with the cracked pipe, air leak may occur, which would result in reduced braking efficiency.

Correction:
The air charge pipe, the fixing part (shown in pink on the diagram), and the brackets should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units. Also, the sticker to inform that the fixing part must be replaced every year or every two years should be placed on the maintenance booklet. Note: The before and after replacement diagrams are on the RJ-1459-1, left and right respectively. The above two diagrams are for 8M21 engine, and the below two are for 8M21-1 and 8M21-3.
