On certain vehicles, the ball joint socket of the bell crank is not properly welded, and the welded section may crack from repeated dry steering. If such a crack is ignored, it may advance, and in the worst case, the welded section could break, which might cause the ball joint socket to come off, making steering impossible.

Correction:
The bell crank should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit. Incidentally, it takes time to supply all the factory approved replacement unit, and therefore, as a temporary measure, the ball joint socket should be inspected, and the replacement should be carried out only if a crack is found, otherwise it should be done at a later date.
Identification:
sticker (marked 'HB-40') on the upper corner of the back of the inspection lid located at the left rear of the vehicle body, blue one for the temporary measure and white/yellow one for the permanent countermeasure
