For vehicles modified as vans, the relay terminals inside the flasher unit for turn signals and hazard lamps may overheat, due to an increased electric load with auxiliary turn signals additionally installed. As a result of this, the temperature of the solder in the terminals may rise, if the hazard lamps are kept on for a long time. Repeated heat expansion and contraction of the solder in the terminals may cause cracks, and in the worst case, the turn signals and the hazard lamps could fail to illuminate.
