For certain vehicles with sunroofs, the method of securing and/or manufacturing of the open/close link brackets and the guide rails of the sunroof above the front seats was not appropriate, and therefore the screws may become loose, causing rattling. If this problem is left unattended, the screws may come off, and the front end of the sunroof may lift. In the worst-case scenario, the resin sliders would break, and the sunroof glass would fall.

The screws on the open/close link brackets should be checked for looseness, and if looseness is found, the open/close link assemblies should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units. In addition, for all the vehicles, the sunroof and the guide rails should be tied with wire.
