On certain vehicles, the bracket of the parking brake pedal may not be properly manufactured. Therefore, when the pedal is operated, it may deform and cause the free play of the pedal to increase, and in the worst case, reduction of braking efficiency could occur.

Correction:
The parking brake pedal should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit. Also, if the parking cable is damaged, it should be replaced with a new one.
