The fuel pipe is bent around the welded section, and therefore, the stress of that section may become too high and cause minute cracks in conjunction with corrosion causing materials in the fuel. If this problem is left unattended, fuel pressure fluctuation may cause the cracks to grow, which could, in the worst case, result in a fuel leak.
