For the heat exchangers for heating air, the storage box structure does not provide a sufficient waterproofing function and allows water containing snow melting agent to seep through, which can cause an electric leakage around the harness connectors attached to the fan motors. If this problem is left unattended, the connectors may overheat, and in the worst case, a fire could break out.

Correction:
Seal adhesive should be additionally applied to the heat exchanger boxes, and the harness connectors and the drain outlets should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units. Also, the fan motors should be checked for rust, and rusty ones should be replaced with new ones. Incidentally, it is going to take some time to supply the factory approved replacement units, and therefore, as a temporary measure, the harness connectors should be cut off and the harnesses should be directly connected.
