Exfoliation may occur inside the engine pistons and cracks may develop, due to an inappropriate manufacturing process. If this problem is left unattended, in the worst case, the engine could break, which would cause the vehicle to stall.

The engine should be inspected, and if the engine pistons are damaged, they should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units.
