For the front wheel propeller shafts of 4WD vehicles, the rear universal joint does not have sufficient durability, and grease may leak from the joint causing abnormal noise. If this problem is left unattended, the joint can break causing the propeller shaft to come off, which could damage the transmission leading to oil leakage and in the worst case could result in a fire.

On certain timing belts of vehicles with diesel engine, there is oil landed at the time of the pulley (camshaft pulley etc.) manufacturing, and because of it, the belt may swell creating excessive tension. If this problem is left unattended, excessive stress is placed on the camshaft, and in the worst case, the camshaft could break causing the vehicle to stall.

On certain vehicles, grease on the contact point may get into the inside of the wire because excessive amount was applied, and this could cause the wire coating to harden. If this happens, the wire coating may crack due to repetitive switch operations. At worst, the wire is disconnected, and the headlights, the width indicators, the taillights and the dashboard lights fail to illuminate.
