On certain steering intermediate shafts, which connect the steering wheel and the steering rack, made as replacement parts for repair, welding on the joint is improper. For vehicles whose steering intermediate shaft has been replaced with one of those, steering may become impossible due to breakage of the welded part of the shaft.
