For the starter systems in big shuttle buses, hardness of the flywheel ring gear is not sufficient and length of the wire in the activation circuit for the starter magnetic switch is not adequate. For these reasons, the starter pinion and the flywheel ring gear can collide and interfere with each other when starting the engine, and the edges of the gear teeth may be damaged or broken from the wrong meshing. If this occurs, it becomes difficult or impossible to start the engine, and repeating engine starting operations could cause a fire in the worst case.

For catalyst mufflers, a crack may occur on the welded part of the exhaust inlet pipe and the muffler, because the muffler structure for the exhaust inlet pipe is improper, and also because rigidity of the bracket securing the exhaust pipe between the engine and the muffler is insufficient and amount of the vibration-proof rubber on the bracket is also insufficient. If left unfixed, exhaust noise may exceed the standard.

The accelerator wire breaks with a repetition of accelerating operations, due to its insufficient resistance against bending stress and also due to its inadequate combination with joint (the drum type) connecting to the throttle. As a result, stepping on the accelerator pedal may not increase the engine revolutions.

On certain vehicles, the bolts on the metallic parts (tank support and the tank support brackets) securing the fuel tank to the frame are not properly tightened. If left unfixed, the bolts may become loose, and get damaged. At worst, the fuel tank falls off.
