On certain vehicles with DOHC engine, there may be metal chips left in the cylinder head holes through which oil is supplied to the automatic lash adjuster because the processing of the holes was improper, and these can inadvertently restrict oil supply. Consequently, there may be abnormal valve hammering sounds, and there is a possibility that the camshaft could scuff and seize, causing the vehicle to stall.
