For automatic transmission vehicles, the resin-made rod inside the gear lever does not have sufficient strength, enabling the driver to move the gear lever freely without stepping on the brake pedal. At worst, the key interlock system in coordination with the gear mechanism fails to operate normally causing the ignition key to be stuck in the keyhole, and also the locking device of the steering gear stops functioning.
