For the solenoid switch that turns on/off the current to the starter motor, on certain vehicles, the terminal fitting is inadequate. For this reason, if liquid with high conductivity contacts the terminal, it can get into the inside of the terminal causing a short circuit. If left unfixed, the engine may fail to start, and this could cause burnout in the terminal area.

Correction: 
The serial/lot number on the engine should be checked, and if it is between 0529327 - 0672850, the solenoid switch should be replaced with a non-defective one. Also, if the connecting wire is damaged, it should be replaced with a new one.
