On certain vehicles, the engine timing belt that is tensioned too tight may resonate the crank axle, which can break the crank pulley bolt loose. At worst, this can lead to that the crank pulley for the engine auxiliary devices fails to convey the power, which causes the alternator to stop working resulting in illumination of the charge warning light, and the power steering hydraulic pump to stop functioning resulting in heavier steering.

Correction: 
(1) The crank pulley bolt should be checked for the torque, and if it is loose, the crank shaft and the crank pulley should be replaced with new ones. (2) The engine timing belt should be replaced with a new one and it should be tensioned to the correct level.
