For the shift lock on the automatic transmission, the link, which is for releasing the lock, can be stuck on the guide, because the resin-made guide is not properly shaped on certain vehicles. If this happens, the shift lock remains released, and the shift lever can be shifted from the Park (P) position without pressing the brake pedal.
