This recall is for vehicles with aluminum fuel tank. (1) The shock absorbing rubber strips of the fuel tank hangers are not properly glued. If this problem is left unattended, the rubber strips may peel off, causing the tank and the hangers to interfere with each other. If this occurs, the tank may get damaged and/or crack, which could, at worst, result in fuel leakage. (2) The convexities on the fuel tank, which are for positioning, do not have an appropriate shape and therefore, their surrounding areas do not have sufficient strength. As a result of this problem, the fuel tank may crack from vehicle vibration, which could, at worst, result in fuel leakage.
