On certain vehicles, the holes for securing the transmission onto the engine cylinder block are not at the right position, and therefore, the transmission axis may not aligned to the engine correctly. If this problem is left unattended, the clutch disc or the drive plate of the manual transmission may be damaged, which in the worst case could cause the vehicle to stall.

Correction:
The alignment between the engine cylinder block and the transmission should be checked after removing the oil pan, and if it is not correct, the pins for securing the transmission onto the engine cylinder block should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units, and the clutch disc or the drive plate should be replaced with a new one.
