For the hydraulic power steering system, the rubber of the oil supply hose does not have sufficient heat resistance, and therefore, it may deteriorate and lose flexibility because of the heat from the catalyst converter of the exhaust pipe. The rubber hose may crack due to the pressure movement and allow the power steering oil to leak, and in the worst case, the oil might deposit on the exhaust pipe and cause a fire.
