For the electrical wiring for controlling the engine, if it is is installed between the engine cylinder head cover and the air cleaner, the cover tube may lose its strength due to its component and the heat, as the tube is made of unsuitable materials. If this problem is left unattended, the tube may lose its effectiveness, and the wiring may get damaged. In the worst case, a short circuit would occur, and the engine could stall and fail to restart.

Correction:
The wiring should be inspected. If the tube is not damaged, action (1) should be taken. If the tube is damaged, action (1) and (2) should be taken. if the tube and the wiring are damaged, action (1), (2) and (3) should be taken. Action (1): Wrap the tube with the rubber protector and secure it to the cylinder head with the hand clip. Action (2): replace the tube with the factory approved replacement unit. Action (3): Repair the wiring.
