For the front passenger's airbag of certain vehicles, there may not be sufficient amount of a gas generating propellant in the inflator, due to improper loading of the propellant, and therefore, the propellant may become powdery from the vibrations of the vehicle. If the airbag is deployed with an affected propellant, the internal pressure may rise excessively and cause the inflator housing to rupture. If this occurs, the component fragments may fly out and cause injury to the vehicle occupants.
