On certain vehicles, the brake stroke sensor in the brake assist system (the system for helping the driver in emergency braking situations by automatically increasing braking pressure) is defective in manufacturing, and therefore it may cause the brake assist to be activated in a normal braking situation. If this happens, the applied braking force can be more than expected by the driver.
