The length of the hose (feed hose) to the hydraulic power steering unit is not appropriate, and therefore, when quickly turning the steering wheel back to the centre position from the maximum point, the hydraulic pressure may suddenly change at the valve that is to switch the oil passages, in which case the pipes can resonate making abnormal noises. If this problem is left unattended, the feed pipe of the steering rack could crack due to vibration from the resonance, and the power steering oil could leak resulting in heavier steering.
