The serial/lot number on the fuel pump should be checked, and if it is the one to be recalled, the fuel pump should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit whose material and shape have been changed. Also, for vehicles with 8DC11 type engine, the way the fuel pump is attached to the engine should be checked, and if the factory approved replacement has not been carried out, the brackets should be additionally installed.

Correction: 
The rack that is to to control the injection amount of the fuel injection pump does not have sufficient strength around the notches. Also, the way the fuel pump is attached to the engine is not appropriate. For these reasons, the rack can break from continued high revs, in which case the engine revs could rise and at worst this could result in a fire.
