For vehicles with spring type parking brakes, the rollers at the end of the brake shoe adjusting wedges are not properly heat treated, or the components of the wedges are not properly installed, and therefore, the wedges can be damaged. If this occurs, at worst, the parking brake could fail to function properly, adversely affecting the parking brake performance.

Correction:
The rollers at the end of the wedges should be inspected, and for the deformed or damaged one, the wedge rod assembly should be replaced with a non-defective item. Also, the components that are not currently available ones should be replaced with the currently available ones.
