For vehicles with side curtain air bags, there is a glitch in the program of the air bag control unit, and therefore, there may a slight delay in sending out a signal to the air bags for deployment, when the vehicle is struck from the side and the impact is large enough for the air bags to be deployed. If this occurs, the side curtain air bags may not deliver the performance they were designed to provide.

The air bag control unit should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit.
