Elysion

For the release actuators of the electric sliding doors (this device is to electrically release the front and rear latches of the sliding doors), the worm gear may dislodge and become stuck on the worm wheel gear when the actuator is actuated at the time of door opening, because it does not have an appropriate shape, and as a result, the door latch release lever may stay in an release position. If this occurs, the sliding door may not be firmly locked, and in the worst case, it might open while the vehicle is in motion.

The drainage position of the front latch covers on the sliding doors is not right, and drained water may deposit on the lower ends of the outer handle cables. The water may find its way to the inside of the cable, when the outer handle is operated. If this occurs in a cold ambient temperature, the water may freeze, and when the door is opened by the outer handle, the door may fail to close, as the handle does not return to the position due to the friction resistance of the cable.

On certain vehicles, the front latch on the right sliding door does not move smoothly due to the improper caulking of the latch shaft. If such a latch is pushed down during cleaning etc., it may not be pushed back by the spring. If the door is shut with the latch down, the door may stay open with the latch pushing against the striker.
