The drainage position of the front latch covers on the sliding doors is not right, and drained water may deposit on the lower ends of the outer handle cables. The water may find its way to the inside of the cable, when the outer handle is operated. If this occurs in a cold ambient temperature, the water may freeze, and when the door is opened by the outer handle, the door may fail to close, as the handle does not return to the position due to the friction resistance of the cable. Note: The problems concerning the door locks were reported in RJ-1354-1 and RJ-1354-2, submitted on 10th February 2005, but the corrective actions were not sufficient and the vehicles to be recalled were not correctly accounted for, so this recall is to rectify the corrective actions and the recall list.
