On certain front three-point seat belts, the axis of the spring that is to retract the seat belt after the belt is fastened is defective in manufacturing. If left unfixed, the spring and the spring seat can strongly interfere with each other so excess slack may be left when the seat belt is worn, and in the worst case the seat belt could remain unretracted.

Correction: 
The identification labels on the front seat belts should be checked, and if the manufacturing lot number is under 1Z11 (manufactured on 11th December 1991), the seat belt retraction assembly should be replaced with a non-defective one. Note: For the manufacturing lot number, the first digit indicates what year it was made in and it is the least significant digit of the year, the second indicates the month (1 for January, 2 for February, ... X for October, Y for November, Z for December), and the third and forth indicate the day.
