For vehicles with diesel engine, the heat shield plug, which protects the bearing supporting the rotor of the PWS (Pressure Wave Supercharger), may break due to insufficient strength. If the breakage is left unattended, the bearing can burn out because of the lack of lubrication, stopping the rotor, which results in no air getting into the combustion chamber, and therefore, the engine stops and will not restart.

Correction: 
The serial/lot number on the PWS should be checked, and if it is between 2B14 5001 and 2J13 5156, the PWS should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit.
