On certain vehicles, the cylinder-sensing rotor on the camshaft is not correctly positioned. If left unfixed, fuel supply may be delayed, in which case combustion will not be properly performed and the engine will not run smoothly, and at worst the catalyst may be damaged, causing the vehicle emissions to exceed the standards.
