On certain vehicles, the vent hole of the charcoal canister is not through from manufacturing. If left unfixed, the top part of the fuel tank may crack due to internal pressure change, and in the worst case it could allow fuel to leak.

Correction: 
The vent hole should be checked, and if it is not through, it should be opened and both the fuel tank and the charcoal canister should be replaced with new ones.
