For powetrain of low-floor 6x4 or 8x4 vehicles, the joint of the propeller shaft between the anterior drive axle and the posterior drive axle is not properly tightened. Because of this, the attachment part (companion flange) of the final gear for the posterior drive axle may become worn out, breaking the castle nut loose. If left unfixed, the split pin, which prevents the nut from being accidentally loosened, may break, causing the nut to fall off, and the companion flange to come off. At worst, the propeller shaft falls off, and the vehicle stalls. Note: For vehicles with final gear ratio 2.785 or 2.923
