RJ-2291-0

For the power trains of large trucks, some centre bearing brackets of them do not have sufficient strength, so they may crack due to vibration of the propeller shaft. If this problem is left unattended, the cracks may progress and the bracket might eventually break, which would cause the vehicle to stall.

RJ-2301-0

On certain vehicles, the propeller shaft may not have sufficient strength due to the inappropriate way in which a warped shaft is straightened. If this problem is unattended, the shaft may break, in which case the vehicle would stall.

RJ-2148-0

The propeller shaft centre bearing bracket does not have sufficient strength, and therefore, it may crack, if the vehicle is driven at a high speed for a certain time of period. If this problem is left unattended, the cracks may progress, and the bracket could eventually fracture, in which case, the propeller shaft could hang loose and the vehicle would stall.

RJ-2170-0

For the companion flange of the propeller shaft between the rear-front axle and the rear-rear axle of low-floor 6x4 or 8x4 vehicles, because the strength and the tightening torque of the pinion gear shaft and the through shaft are not appropriate, the castle nut may loosen, or the thread sections of the pinion gear shaft and the through shaft may break. If either occurs, in the worst case, the propeller shaft between the rear-front axle and the rear-rear axle could fall off, causing the vehicle to stall.

RJ-2172-0

For the ECU that controls the gear change of the mechanical transmission, some problems in the circuit cause the clutch not to connect or disconnect in a cold ambient temperature. If this occurs, starting the vehicle, changing the gear while the vehicle is in motion, or disconnecting the clutch while the vehicle is stopped will be impossible.

RJ-2178-0

The propeller shaft centre bearing bracket does not have sufficient strength, and therefore, it may crack, if the vehicle is driven at a high speed for a certain time of period. If this problem is left unattended, the cracks may progress, and the bracket could eventually fracture, in which case, the propeller shaft could hang loose and the vehicle would stall. Note: This problem was submitted on the 17th July 2008 as RJ-2148-0, but not all the vehicles were included in that recall, so additional vehicles are included in this recall.

RJ-1958-0

For vehicles that were converted to concrete pump trucks, the transfer brackets do not have sufficient strength, and therefore, they may crack due to the load caused by concrete casting. If this problem is left unattended, the cracks may progress, and in the worst case, the brackets could break, in which case the transfer could fall, causing the vehicle to stall. Note: The same problem was reported as RJ-1946-0 on 11th October 2007, and this RJ-1958-0 is to list additional vehicles to be recalled.

RJ-1946-0

For vehicles that were converted to concrete pump trucks, the transfer brackets do not have sufficient strength, and therefore, they may crack due to the load caused by concrete casting. If this problem is left unattended, the cracks may progress, and in the worst case, the brackets could break, in which case the transfer could fall, causing the vehicle to stall.

RJ-1930-0

For vehicle height adjustment devices of air suspension systems of low-floor rear tandem axle vehicles, the stoppers of the shock absorbers may not fully function, and therefore, the vehicle height may exceed the max level and the nuts securing the pistons may come off during loading activities. If this problem is left unattended, the piston rods of the shock absorbers may come off and bend/break, and in the worst case, they may interfere with tyres, in which case the tyres might burst or catch a fire.

RJ-1919-0

The heat shield attached on the exhaust pipe may not have sufficient strength, and therefore, the exhaust pipe and the heat shield may resonate in the low rev range, which might cause the heat shield attachment section to crack. If this problem is left unattended, in the worst case, the heat shield might fall off and cause obstruction to other traffic.
