Water may get into the wiper motor through its vent holes due to their improper position, when a lot of water flows into the front deck (e.g. when a shower test is carried out at factory to check for water leaks) and the holes go under water level. As a result, rust may occur inside the motor, and in the worst case, electric continuity is hindered, causing inoperative wiper.
