The lock assembly, spring, catch and weatherstrips should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units. Also, to accommodate the adjusted force of the spring, the reinforcement plate should be additionally fitted on the panel where the lock is installed and the outer handle and control assembly should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units.

Correction: 
The lock on the hinged double doors at the back of the vehicle may not fully engage when the doors are slowly closed, because the force of the spring that pushes back the lock from the catch is inadequate, and also because the resilience force of the weatherstrip is not adequate. If left unfixed, in the worst case, vibration during driving etc. can cause the lock to disengage, in which case the doors could open.
